Nautical DIY pumpkin Craft
This pumpkin craft, Mod patchwork and fabric can transform a pumpkin into a fantastic autumn decor! You know how easy it is with this great tutorial.
autumn is almost over, BUT I wanted to craft a last pumpkin while I can. On a recent trip to Wal-Mart I found this great anchor fabric. I’ve done tinkering with some Mod-smorgasbord of pumpkin, but I’ve never done a fabric.
I knew I had to try it!! This anchor pattern was perfect to try out.
For this pumpkin craft, you need to go to:
Mod hodgepodge Matt
Since I've just) the material at Wal-Mart (for .99 cents!! I just needed to round to the rest of my supplies.
the time to crafting!
step 1 – Remove Stem
If you are able to, the stem, remove your pumpkin, before you start the craft. With this foam pumpkin I was able to pull it directly!
step 2 – Material, Cut into strips
I cut my material into LONG strips. Long enough to the bottom of the pumpkin.
step 3 – Mod smorgasbord on Material
I added to my Mod collection, gently at first, then my material at the top. I added another layer of Mod hodgepodge on top of that and smoothed it with my foam brush.
next, I slide my Finger to the material in the grooves of the pumpkin. I have a section at a time, let dry for 10 minutes.
step 4 – Wrap shank in the rope
Finally, I wrapped the stem in some decorative rope. I have my “loyal” the hot-melt applicator, to my rope in place.
This was such a quick and easy project. Plus I think I like the material better than scrapbook paper. It really makes it a lot easier.
I’m so glad that I was able to get the trades done before the autumn. I know a lot of people (myself) included are already decorating for Christmas.
But I still have ALL of my autumn decor. I can’t take it down before thanksgiving!
