Decorate Dollar store plates with Confetti

You can use different colors of tissue paper and dishwasher-safe Mod-hodgepodge to decorate dollar store plates. This DIY is perfect for parties!
Dress up a cheap plate with tissue paper and dishwasher-safe Mod-smorgasbord in this unique dollar store craft! It’s so easy, and the perfect way to add a little seasonal decor to your table for the autumn, or whatever season it happens!
I wouldn’t necessarily know to eat from these plates, because I don’t, how long the Mod smorgasbord lasts after several washes, but it’s perfect for a flat plate or a decorative piece, – and you can wash them, if necessary.

Here’s what you need:

Tissue paper
Dishwasher-safe Mod hotchpotch
White plate
sponge paint brush

Cut your tissue paper into thin strips and then randomly cut the strips into different sizes of small rectangles. I chose the colors that would work for the autumn but also in other seasons as well.
Working in sections, brush on a thin later of Mod-hodgepodge, and then hold the strip of tissue paper that overlap.
Once the tissue is placed like, such as paper, brush another layer of dishwasher safe Mod smorgasbord on the top of everything to seal it.
Allow it to dry completely and add another layer of Mod-hodgepodge, if you feel like there are some spots that require additional coverage.
I just love how festive this little plate turned out. How sweet it would be for some birthday party decor?
This dollar-store-craft-idea also would work for cups, vases, mason jars or really anything made of glass or ceramic. It’s perfect for someone to Tinker with to start with, to – it’s very easy!
