greetings friends! This is Megan from homemade Ginger and I’m back to " share other easy DIY! I came across this funny slide-out pencil case at the dollar store and thought they would look super-cool fabric-covered.
So, I grabbed my fabric Mod smorgasbord and went to work. I think they turned out pretty cute and could be used for many things, except pencils!

Here’s what you need:

Slide-Out pencil case (I have Tree in dollars)to do
fabric Mod hotchpotch
substance
foam brush
nail Polish

The first thing I knew I wanted to do was change the color of the snap. So I grabbed my nail Polish and gave it a few coats. Don’t worry about it to be perfect since you will cover, the rest with fabric.
More, “measure” of the fabric by wrapping it around the pencil case and cut. Then, brush on a layer of Mod smorgasbord on the back of the fabric.
you need to cut a small hole for the snaps. Just a tip, after the Mod smorgasbord on the back of the fabric and it is slightly damp, the fabric will stretch more easily around the hole.
So I found that I didn’t need to cut my holes are perfect size, they were actually a little smaller, but I had to stretch the fabric around them for a comfortable fit.
If desired, use a different coordinating fabric for the inside of the box. Don’t worry if it is more than fabric, it can all be reduced, once the Mod is hodgepodge dry!
in The end boxes of the edges, I used fabric, washi tape on a 0f -. I left the other two, unfinished.
to work one way or the other! After you have done this step and the Mod-hodgepodge is dry, give the whole thing another layer of Mod smorgasbord on the outer side of the fabric and let it dry.
Any DIY will take a pencil case for about 24 hours to completely dry. Fun to fill with your treasures or give it to your children for your art supplies!
